 তুষার হল বৃষ্টির কঠিন রূপা যা বায়ুমন্ডলে স্ফর্পার রেকর্ডে বিরাজ করে। এটির পক্ষে পানি কঠিন রূপ বা বরফ। শীতকালীন সময়ে যেখানে হালকা শূণ্য ডিগ্রী সেলসিয়াসের ব্যাখ্যা সেখানে মেঘ থেকে তুষার পতিত হয়, এক বলে তুষারপাত। মেঘ হতে নিঃসৃত পানি বায়ুমন্ডলের নিম্ন স্তরে নিম্নে জমে বরফে পরিণত হয় এবং তা ভূমিতে পতিত হয়।
